Tips for Retiring in Spain While You’re Still Young Enough To Enjoy It

Sue and John Walker“Retiring Types? Not Us!” – Competition Winning Writer Shares Tips for Retiring in Spain While You’re Still Young Enough To Enjoy It

While Spain has long been the main retirement spot for Brits wishing to enjoy the sun, food and more laid-back way of life – the growing number of “young retirees” means many of us want to do more than simply lounge by a pool.

That’s why Sue Walker, a keen runner and recent retiree originally from Newcastle, decided to share her story of how she and her husband John are moving their lives overseas.

“Retiring The Olé Way” is the eleventh book from small independent publisher NativeSpain.com and further adds to their list of books written by expats who really love their new home.

What makes this book extra special is that Sue Walker landed her publishing contract after beating off tough competition in NativeSpain’s recent writing contest.

Impressed with Sue’s enthusiasm, writing skills and unique story, NativeSpain’s boss Debbie Jenkins offered her a contract to write “Retiring The Olé Way”

Debbie says, “Sue and people like her are a real asset to the NativeSpain brand. She shares a real story of what’s involved in retiring to Spain when you’re still keen to walk, run and enjoy everything the country has to offer. If Sue’s book inspires just one couple to follow their dream of living in Spain then we’ll be happy.”

Sue says, “Just because you are retired, it doesn’t mean you are past it! There’s so much that Spain has to offer and starting a new phase of your life in a new country can really make you feel young again!”
