We’re Looking for Editors!

We’ve currently got three books (all in our NativeSpain.com list at the moment) in the pipeline that require the skills of a talented, and forward-thinking, editor.

If you’ve heard of us before then you’ll probably also know that we pay unprecedented royalties to our authors.

However, the only way we can afford to pay such big royalties has been by doing away with some older publishing conventions in favour of a results based approach. With our approach talented contributors, like yourself and our authors, get paid a decent wedge (that with enough projects could be a sole source of income) over the longer term.

I know there are a lot of “jobbing” editors out there who are only after their next contract, and if you’re one of them, you probably won’t like this – so I’ll spell things out…

  1. I’m looking for editors that would like to earn upto 20% royalties from lifetime sales of each book they work on.
  2. All profit to the editor will come from the result of sales of the book, and royalties will be paid quarterly.
  3. We do not pay a one-off fee for editing but instead provide a long term stake in the intellectual property created by the author, ourselves and you, as the editor.
  4. I am looking to pull together a team of around 5 editors to work on approximately 60 books during 2009.
  5. Based on average sales of our top 10 performers if you’d edited 10 books you would be getting paid at least £720 every 3 months, for the lifetime of those books, with no extra work to do.

If you’re interested in working with us in this way and would like to know what projects are underway then please complete the short form on the editors page

Once you’ve completed the form you’ll get an auto-responder telling you more and I’ll be in touch soon after to answer any questions you may have asked.
